Small Business Administration (SBA)

The Small Business Administration is a goverment agency, not a business lender. Applications for SBA Loans are not sent directly to the SBA. Instead, you must apply trough one of three types of financial institutions: commercial banks, credit unions, or alternative business financing facilitators like Sunrise Savings & Loan.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is a government agency in the United States that provides support to small businesses through loans, counseling, and other resources. The SBA works to promote small business growth and help entrepreneurs overcome common challenges they face when starting or running a business.

One of the key services offered by the S.B.A. is loan guarantee. The agency guarantees a portion of a loan made by a lender to a small business. Which reduces the risk to the lender and makes it easier for small businesses to access financing. The SBA also offers counseling and training programs to help small businesses with various aspects of business management, such as financial planning, marketing, and also business operations.
